Who knew that flowers could be so lovely?
We met with a florist on Monday and he was wonderful. Considering I felt pretty underqualified to be discussing any flora and fauna, he handled me with kid gloves and went to town with his "vision" with only a few magazine rip-outs I presented. As he was making suggestions going off of only my colors and the words "simple, bold, and pseudo-country," I fell in love with flowers. My face probably looked like it does when friends read my mind- "yes, that's it! how did you know?" AND his estimate didn't end up being $1,800 like I'd feared!
Aside from other details, we are attending our first wedding class tonight. I don't know what else to call it. It's called Life Together and it's offered at UPC. We will be in a group with 3-4 other couples and a mentor couple for 8 weeks (phew), talking about all aspects of marriage. I'm kinda looking forward to it...this might sound stupid considering we have been engaged for 6 months already, but some things still hit me as crazy and this is one of them- we are qualified to go to this function? But it's for people who are going to be married.
Yes, Natalie, and that includes you.
Oooohhhhhhh.
We did it for so long, it's hard to believe sometimes that Kenny and I aren't still dating. Talk about a marathon, not a sprint, friends. So here we go, about to mingle with other engage-ateers and hopefully not talk about sex, 'cause that would just be awkward on so many levels.
Let you know how it goes!
It's nice to check off, yet, another thing, from ye ole wedding list, huh? Loved the new word, also......"engage-ateers" soon to be husband and wife......married!! Yikes! This, is happening pretty fast for your mom & David to take it all in. :-)
